Damian J. Mark

Damian Mark, an experienced corporate lawyer, focuses his practice on public finance, banking and general corporate law. He has served as bond, borrower’s, underwriter’s and trustee’s counsel in various tax exempt and taxable public finance transactions throughout the country, including public offerings and private placements. Damian also represents borrowers and lending institutions, including banks, credit unions and commercial capital corporations in both secured and unsecured financings.  In addition, Damian serves as outside general counsel and trusted advisor to numerous small businesses and non-profit organizations, advising these companies with respect to formations, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, restructurings and other general business law issues. Damian serves on the Board of Directors of Acts4Youth, Inc., an organization that operates mentoring programs for underprivileged boys in Baltimore City, and serves as pro-bono counsel to several faith-based organizations. Before joining McKennon Shelton & Henn LLP, Damian practiced law for 15 years at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston L.L.P., where he was a former partner and Co-chair of that firm’s public finance group. Damian is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
