New Partner Announcement at MS&H
McKennon Shelton & Henn LLP is pleased to announce that David W. Gregory has been promoted to partner effective January 1, 2014. “Since joining the firm in 2006, David has demonstrated a capacity to acquire new skills and knowledge, particularly, to focus his intellectual curiosity to our public finance and corporate clients,” says Paul Shelton, the firm’s managing partner. His natural intellectual curiosity drives him to resolve particularly complex legal issues. Throughout his time at the firm, David has also demonstrated a capacity to manage multiple transactions while keeping clients well informed of the status of their transactions, an invaluable skill for any attorney. His abilities have been recognized outside the firm as well, being named as a Maryland Super Lawyer’s Rising Star of 2012, 2013 and 2014.
David’s practice is focused on public finance, corporate and business litigation. He has served as bond counsel in various transactions, including those involving conduit revenue bond issuance on behalf of health and education institutions and general obligation indebtedness issued on behalf of various state and local entities. Notably, David served as bond counsel in the first taxable direct subsidy Qualified Energy Conservation Bond issued in the State of Maryland in October of 2013. He has also served as underwriter’s counsel in various transactions throughout the country and has represented lenders in both secured and unsecured financing. While public finance is a large part of his practice, David is also a litigator, representing clients in general business matter litigation and defending toxic tort claims, including acting as defense counsel in lead paint litigation.
The firm is certain that in David’s ascension to partner, he will strengthen existing client relationships, develop new client relations and continue to enhance the practice.
